This state is in the southwest, and it has one of the lowest densities of population. The heritage here is distinct in artistic and cultural attributes. This state has the highest percentage of Hispanic residents of any state, and the second largest gathering of Native Americans. Gold and silver mining have been very prevalent here, and they are still traded today in forms like bullion, coins, and jewelry. Legend had it that the state had a wealth of material riches, and that drew quite a few explorers and settlers to this state.
