$2.5 Liberty

2.5 dollar Liberty Gold Coin

Description

Quarter eagles themselves were authorized to be minted as early as 1792 but had various designs through those early years. The Liberty Quarter Eagle began its mintage in 1840. This coin is just over 1/10th oz (.12 oz) but both the Liberty and Indian Quarter Eagles were minted in larger sizes. The $2.5 Liberty Quarter Eagles were minted by the United States Mint between the years 1840 and 1907 and provide a wonderful way to collect a part of American History while investing in a valuable asset.
